The blogs so far

The blogs that I made in this semester was very interesting and fun, it’s a great way of learn and practice a language write every week and the things that you write are about your life and the way that you though. In the semester in my opinion my favorite blog that I made was the conversation one-on-one, it was very curious to imagine you and a people that really admire talk about different stuffs, personally I write that blog with enthusiasm because I´m a big fan of Jim Morrison that kind and a little talk with him was one of my wishes in my youth, like know him better.

For other hand the blog that it was more difficult to write this semester is the about the analysis of the Victory City, first of all that day I came to the class a little late and all the student already have start writing, and I was a little confused about what is the Victory City, I began to understand like a half hour until the class finished and then start to write, it was very weird write about that topic because I didn’t know nothing about that and never heard about it, although was very interesting too. The blog that I really enjoyed to read was that about your favorite book, it´s funny to see what are the likes of my partners in the class, and it’s good because you know book that may you interest.

In my opinion that kind of activities are very helpful to the student, because people that aren’t accustomed to write in English is a really nice tool, I think that in my case my English writing improved a little, it’s an easy way to practice and its helpful and nice with all the works that we have in workshop that English was more relaxing.   

People are strange

A person that admired and would be wonderful to talk a moment with him is Jim Morrison, the singer of the band The Doors, this band was very famous since his beginning on the sixties, they usually plays psychedelic rock. I know him while I was listen a lot of different music and The Doors came out, I liked a lot and then begin to search about the members and their history, I found a very interesting person Jim Morrison, for example, some people says that he was very intelligent, like a genius, in interview teachers close to him told that Jim in the youth always understands books so difficult even for they. In my opinion Jim is a person who had a lot of talk of many subject, he love to know new thing every time, and also was very extravagant with all the Indian culture and all the mystic things that in the end begin to interest.

 If I had a one-on-one conversation with Jim I would ask so many things, the first that I talk with is about music, what kind of artist like and of his own music what think that is the best. Also I´m interest in his religion, like what are his believes, that he thought like the spirit exist or things like that. Jim is one of the group of musician that died with 27 years, he died in his bathroom in Paris with a heart attack in 1971, his death has a lot of versions actually, and it was very weird. 

    

                                     MY HOBBY

In my life I always had a lot of hobbies, and also I am very careful with my stuffs since I was little, the hobby that really love is play videogames and collect them, this hobby gave it to me my cousin when I had like 4 years when he gift me the Super Nintendo in Christmas with all of his games, in that time I was fascinated with that, my favorite game was Yoshi Island, that is about the life of Mario Bros when he was baby, and he need to travel to save his brother Luigi with the help of all the Yoshi on the island.

The years passed and I in the primary I ask to my mum more games, only in Christmas and in my birthday, all the year I think in what game was perfect to play, my cousin continues gift me the games that he stop used it and some of them were my favorites of all times, like Final Fantasy VII with a great history.

In my opinion the games are like a movie that you can interact all the time and “built” your own history, that concept fascinated to me since the beginning because the movies and the theater is another of my hobbies that really liked, all my family (specially my grandfather.) was very fan of the movies.

Now I still like a lot play videogames with my friends but because the short free time I have I don’t play so much. The next week the new game of final fantasy releases to Chile and all the game late around 15 years to created it, I´m waiting to play it and look how it’s like.

A new songwriter

I´m really fan of the Chilean music since the primary, when I was little my family always listen groups like Los Jaivas or Violeta Parra, I growth with that kind of music, I was very fan of Congreso to. In the story of the Chilean music there was a lot of big artist that little by little where building what is it right now, musician like Victor Jara or Violeta Parra, in the 80 where Los Tres and Los Prisioneros.  But right now in my opinion there are one young Folklorist that is very talented and try to do give their best to the public, that artist called Nano Stern.

Nano Stern plays like Folk Rock, some of most famous songs that he write were “Casualidad” and “Opticas ilusiones”, my favorite of that two is the first, it´s very beautiful song. I knew since a lot, one time in Christmas eve while we were eating a record of Nano Stern was played, but I really begin to liked two years later when he appear in an argentine program of music called “Encuentro en el Estudio”, that is about a long interview that also in between they sing a couple of songs. In the show Nano plays around six or seven instrument, that finally mixed all the sounds and composed a melody, it was awesome. If someday a have the pleasure of talk with him, I would ask about his likes of the music, what other music he listen and also ask if he can teach me about play some instrument, he is very talented jajaja.

 A perfect city?

In my opinion the problem about environment are inevitable and probably get worst in a few years, the big company’s don´t respect a lot the nature. The victory city is an interesting initiative, it’s great that only one organism controls the economic, obviously thinking that the workers has to be honest and controls always with equality all the deals. I doesn’t like to much the idea to live in a Hugh building all the citizen, the people need some space outside stay a lot of time of solar light, that is very important two the human and I think that the project is avoiding it.

In the future I don’t believe that this project were ejected, the true answer is to fix the city’s we are living right now, the idea of victory city Its very drastic and we as society still can fix the environment problems to doesn’t reach to that awful point to change all our way of living. Be ecologic!!

PIPELINES IN DAKOTA       

There was protest in Dakota for a long pipeline that cross for a reserve and obviously that not help the environment. The project of the pipeline is huge and a lot of people, especially Native American are against this construction.

A long weekend

This weekend was very relaxing, in Friday I stay with a friends in the university around the 10 p.m., and after that I went to my house and fell directly to me bed. The Saturday I slept a lot and then I play videogames until the afternoon, where I met with my girlfriend to go to the birthday to a close friend of her. Then, in Sunday I stayed in the house of my girlfriend to lunch. Also we saw a movie called the perfect sisters, is about two sisters who have an alcoholic and problematic mum, and they try to go ahead although the difficulty.

In Monday I went to the house of my uncle to see my little cousin of one year, the kid growth a lot in no time, we did grill meat. I enjoyed a lot that day, it was very relaxing and my uncle give me a really good idea to workshop, I hope that’s works the project. And finally in Tuesday I try to advance all the work I have in the week in the subjects, while I do that I listen a lot of new music. I just press the bottom of start in YouTube and the record pass. In fact, that day I listen a very nice group called “We were promised jetpacks”, it’s a very weird name but it’s really itchy, I really liked his record, one in particular was very nice. My weekend isn’t was so exciting buy I enjoyed a lot, now in the university I doesn’t have a lot of time to hang with my girlfriend, for example, and we met two days and no thinking so much in the works of the weeks.

We Were Promised Jetpacks: These Four Walls

MY FAVOURITE ROUTE

I always loved walk, in my opinion is a way to relax and also to do exercise, each day I walk like a kilometer from my home to the subway and its very nice to do it. One of my favorite route for walk is the path to Punucapa, a little port near to Valdivia, a city in the south of Chile.

My father always lived in Valdivia and years ago moved to the town of Punucapa, it was a really quiet place, all the people know each other and all are very friendly. When I was little I always jump in the port to the river Cruces and swim a lot. The years passed and my father told there was a path that round the river and you can do it walking, so immediately that gain my interest.

That summer in 2014 I went to Valdivia with two friends and they allow me to do the trip, first we pass all Valdivia Walking because my house is In the another exit of the city, then we arrived to the highway until found the little street of ground where Is the start of the most beautiful path that I´ve seen, while we walk in this forest with the river on the left me and my friends look very impressed. When finally arrived to the end of the road we throw to the river, and then went to eat something to the shop of a friend of mine, I love to do that another time, it was very peaceful and relaxing. I totally recommend to do that trip if you go to Valdivia.    

A REALLY NICE BOOK

One of my favorite books is ‘’Trainspotting´´, of Irvine Welsh, this book has a famous remake to the big screen directed by Danny Boyle in 1996, and that’s why I knew the book. In 1^st of secondary I was obsess with that movie, I watched so many times and  I really enjoyed, I listen the full soundtrack and I wanted to read the book, to my luck my girlfriend in my birthday gift me the book, she told that was so complicated, the book is not very popular these days. The story is about a group of friends addicted to the heroin and they doesn’t have any goals in their lives only be high. The story gives another point of view of Edinburg, the city of the characters, and show how a lot of teenagers in that period had the same way of living, only thinking in the present and thought that is never gone to change. The book had very good critics in his start in 1993, and quickly moves to the cinema. For other hand, in January of 2017 it’s the premiere of “Porno”, the second part of  “Trainspotting” relating the event 20 years after to the first movie, I couldn’t find that book, but I really need to read it jajaja.  

Things I would do

                Now I would like to learn more about music, I love listen music so I think that play it must be more interesting, three years ago my dad bought me a guitar for my birthday, however in that year was very busy in works for the school so I postpone the guitar for the summer, unfortunately the guitar meantime broke, so in that year I failed my propose. A lot of my friends were very fans of music since children and also their parents, and each time when we met them play a lot and I always try to do something in the bass or in the drums or the guitar. My dream in 6^th of primary was play the drums, but I lived in a flat so that was impossible because the noise. This year my cousin gift me his old guitar so I try to play in my free times.

                One of my dreams to do is when I finish to study architecture was made the spaces in a game, that is really fantastic, you can do anything and a whole another world with cities and others stuff, I thing that would be so much fun. Now I see the games and the definition of the places are so high and so important in each play that I would like to do that.

The Chilean way

In my opinion the education must be equal for everybody, in that way all the person had the same opportunities and the tools for the future, the society will be significantly different. In the case of Chile, the education is very rust, first of all exist the schools private and the public, were the teaching are different and also in the quality, and the cost of the education private are very high, that makes it difficult for many kids.

In the area of universities first of all I must say that the PSU is a bad way to evaluate the people, I would do a special text for every career and who passes has the opportunity of through to an interview to evaluated if is the right person to the position. Instead we have only 4 test with 80 question each, that I thought is a very simple form to classify the student.

                Almost all the universities are very expensive and that makes a lot of fees to the families; however now the government implemented the free universities, but the bad notice is the benefice is only for a few families. I really hope that this scholarship improves and covers more students.

                Finally, I would say that the government must give more money to the education, to the universities and the schools, because if we see on a different point of view is like an inversion to the future, the next generation on the country. Is my way to see it.     

Passion is all you need

First of all, in my opinion Isabel Allende in the speech have a very good way to express, is fluently and interesting to the viewers, her posture is right and the pronunciation correct. The most interesting that I found in the speech was the mention of his main character and the similitudes that they had, for examples all were women and the most important, one of the central points, all the character had a very passionate heart. She also talks about the women that inspired because they’re passion, and I agree with her about we have to fight for all the woman on the world who are discriminated and don’t treated as should. A phrase that I loved was “The men rule the world and look what we have”.

                In my opinion the sexism in my country doesn´t show in public frequently, but in the regular life of the Chileans is very common and often doesn’t recognised it. One of the principal examples are the publicity and the national television, the types of gender are so defined in the context of friendship and family.

                I have to say that I don’t believe in the differences of the gender roles, the men and the women must be equal in all forms, we are we humans with the same rights and duties.

                In conclusion, I totally agree with the speech of Isabel Allende, I loved the way that she covered the topic, the only that left to do it is make possible all that she wrote in it papers, make a world where all the people can be free and without discrimination, the best way to do that is trying to expand these ideas to the circles and slowly teach all the people the right way to do some thinks.                       

The best architect

                       In my opinion to be a complete architect you need a lot of things, one of the most important is the understanding of places and structures on the ground, because in all kinds of workers you need that skill, and together comes the imagination, you must be so imaginative person for the design and functionality of the building. Also you need to be perseverant, the projects never come out right the first try, and for that you have to keep doing changes and accept all the mistakes you have done. One thing that help you a lot to be an architect is the knowledge of the history of the men in that area, if you ask me the person who study a lot of different styles and the philosophies of the most famous architect of the world will have many more tools for the creation of the buildings. You need to be very meticulous and perfectionist in the work, because in case you make a mistake could have serious consequences, in the projects you are compromised with the life of the people.      

              The really good architect is who understand the people who will live in the place that he is creating, and for that the building has to be functional for everybody, needs to be the most comfortable possible; and of course you need to make a good design that for the citizen will be beautiful for the eye. 

A new beginning

                 It’s been a month since a start to study architecture in the University of Chile and I have to say that I really like this career, and it’s  all that I expected from this, however in my opinion the works and the classes it’s going to get more difficult while the time pass. In this month I realized that I have to work harder to get better the drawing ability, and also I need to study more than the school.

               

              I decided to study architecture when I was in second grade, my uncle recently had buy an abandoned house and start to fix it, after the school I used to go to the house and see how is going with the repair, in that moment I started to curious me the construction of houses and the design, my family told me that I could be an engineer, a civil constructor or an architect, they explain me the work of the three and in that moment I decided that the architecture it was the career that I were to study. However the last year I abandoned my dream because in my opinion on that moment I was to be an awful architect, that it wasn´t to be easy and needed to rethink my future; but the day of the results of the PSU I talk with a friend about my problem and we get to the conclusion that architecture is the career I wanted, but It was so scared for how much it would cost me that I prefer quitting, in that moment I get back with my dream and now here I am, I see mi partners in simply works that complicated me a lot, but that is the objective to study, learn something however you are good or bad at the start. 

Holydays 2016

                This year my vacations was in Valdivia, the capital of the 14^th region of Chile, in the south about 800 kilometers of Santiago. One of the most beautiful places in the world, surrounded of forests and lakes.                                                                                                                                                                I spend around one month in the south, and the most part of that time I worked with my dad in his job, brewing the Cuello Negro beer. However also spend my time relaxing with my girlfriend around a week, we went to the park Oncol, a famous park for the trekking and the excellent views at the cordillera de los Andes and his volcanos.                                                                                                                        In Valdivia I ate a lot of tasty food, like raw meat in bread, in the café Das Hauss, a place with many years and they have the best raw meat in the country, however they must change his name, before the restaurant called Haussmann, but for certain problem they have to change.

                This vacation where very important to me because It was my first time working and I really like to do that, my partners and my boss was so nice with me and they teach me a lot of the rubric and the life, I hope come back and work again the other summer or maybe when I finish of study, and create a new brewer factory with my own design jajajaja.
